ELECTION: Schedule Announced

Following the publication of the earlier article, Lord Chief Justice Kevin Gladstone, has announced the following in An Clós of Baile na hAlainn.

"In accordance with section 12(3) of the constitution the date of the presidential poll will be June 18-19. The poll for the Dail will take place one week later on June 25-26 according to section 12(4) of the constitution."

Following the announcement President Ó Ceallaigh said.

"This is what the Republic has been waiting for, and waiting for too long in the process. Maybe now that all the problems have been ironed out we can all get on with having smoother elections in the future."

Lets hope all does go to plan from now on!
