The Dáil Is Ticking Over Nicely

The Dáil, Talamthom's legislative body, appears at last to functioning smoothly. This comes after a chronicle of failures to ensure full activity and even a speaker for the house in the previous term.

With a speaker in place and all ministers seemingly attending to their duties, albeit with differing levels of success, the institution appears to be working effectively with plenty of bills passed and more on the way.

The 'Treaty of Freetown' with Cyberia and the new set of Dáil rules of procedure are both expected to be signed off by the President within the next 12 hours. In addition to this a constitutional ammendment which would see an end to inactive political party forums is well on its way to being ratified by the Dáil - this ammendment would bring to an end the presence of the Communist Party on the Tománnach forums.
